The New Subalterns

What is this?

The New Subalterns is a darkly, comedic satire about the employees within the organization that runs the world. Dominating the world requires a mix of marketing savvy, exquisite military operations, bookkeeping, logistics and catering. The New Subalterns are the people who carry out these functions against the backdrop of real-world geopolitical, economic and cultural events.  The format is an audio drama, with cinema-quality sound design, told over three years in weekly 15-minute episodes and optimized for online community creation.

Characters

The series is focused on three main characters:

VANISH.  She is a gorgeous, highly effective manager, former special-forces sniper, and one-time head of the organization's "Special Projects" branch is in career free-fall, due to back-stabbing and sabotage.

SPEAR.  She is the young, naïve and brilliant mailroom clerk who suffers from amnesia, is a rising star after being taken on as Vanish's personal "special project" and catching the eye of...

DR. DANGER.  He is the reckless and delinquent majority shareholder in pretty much everything.  He surfs.

Story

A hot amnesiac secret agent valley girl and a surfer who owns 1/7th of the planet fall in love and they blow stuff up.  And piss off the people who own the other 6/7ths of the planet.

They journey through the places where the decisions about running the world actually get made and change the balance of power on earth forever.

Will their love survive?  Will the world?
